Mini Workshops at the Folsom Art Center at 48 Natoma

Free Form Collage * Saturday, December 9 – 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with Susan Perreault

You don’t have to draw, paint, or sculpt to create a beautiful piece of art. Collage art is perfect for everyone! In this class we will take a mixed media approach – patterned paper, ink, stamps, clip art and ephemera are just a few of the materials you can incorporate into your own unique creation. Collage art is relaxing and addicting and, best of all, it allows your imagination dictate where you take your work. Everyone will take home a one-of-a-kind piece (9×12 inch) suitable for framing or hanging. $39 Folsom resident / $46 non-resident. Ages 12+ – Click to register online.

Abstraction – an Inner Dialogue * Saturday, December 9 – 10:00 am to 1:00 pm with Courtney Tice

This is an exploration of non-objective image making. Activities will include a brief history of this art form, and we will learn the language of color and line. The elements of design will be emphasized. Instruction and self-directed painting prompts will be provided. All levels welcome. Materials list provided on receipt. $49 Folsom resident / $56 non-resident. Ages 16+ – Click to register online.
