ARTIST STATEMENT:
From pencils to oils and everything in between, I have been interested in some form of art from the earliest times I can remember. I’ve worked in many different mediums, but found oil paint my favorite.
At the present time, I like to do realistic paintings. I find the process very challenging and a lot of fun. I connect the process of painting to a form of meditation; when creating I am the most content.
As long as my eyesight holds out, I will continue to paint ~ this is my passion. I’ve taken many classes in both Northern California and some in Southern California, where I was born. The teachers here are marvelous. I’ve enjoyed and learned a great deal from all of them.
I am the mother of four daughters, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. I didn’t start painting seriously until my children were almost grown. Now there is time and it has been an interesting and wonderful journey.
