FAA Members Show January 2019 – 100th Celebration of Folsom’s Rainbow Bridge

Members Show January 2019 - 100th Celebration of Folsom’s Rainbow Bridge We are excited to announce the 2019 Annual Membership Show and the 100th Celebration of Folsom’s Rainbow Bridge. The show will be held in the Community Gallery at 48 Natoma in Folsom from January 17 to March 1, 2019.

Members are encouraged to submit an entry that celebrates the theme, including the bridge itself, area wildlife, and Lake Natoma. Images of the bridge will be highlighted at the exhibit. Entries that don’t reflect the theme will be accepted, but members should try to submit an entry that blends with the exhibition.

The show is open to all current Folsom Arts Association members. Awards for Best of Show ($100), First Place ($75), Second Place ($50), Third Place ($30), Honorable Mentions and People’s Choice (ribbon) will be announced at the opening reception. Mark your calendar, the reception is Friday, January 25, from 6 PM to 8 PM. The Members Show will accompany the Fabric Messages exhibit.




Show Details

* One entry per artist.
* 2D artwork will be hung in the hallway; maximum width for framed artwork is 24 inches.
* 3D artwork will be displayed on a table or pedestal by the front wall.
* Work offered for sale will have a 30% commission charged by the gallery.
* Space is limited, first come, first served, enter early as the show will fill up fast!
* No applications accepted after Thursday, January 3 (or before if full).
* Entry fee is $15, payable online.

Steps for Registering

1. You must be a FAA Member to participate in the show. If you are not a current member, visit folsomarts.org/membership to join the FAA.
2. Register online: Your registration and payment will secure your show entry.

Once Registered

3. Print the Agreement for Temporary Display of Art: Due when artwork is dropped off.
4. Print the W9 form for Invoice Sales: Due when artwork is dropped off.
5. Email your artist bio to folsomartists@gmail.com. Click for Tips and Guidelines for an artist biography.
6. Email JPG image of artwork to folsomartists@gmail.com. Your image may be used to promote the FAA Members Show.

Important Dates

* Drop off artwork: Tuesday, January 15, 2019 – 11 AM to 12 PM
* Art on display: Thursday, January 17 to Friday, March 1, 2019
* Opening Reception: Friday, January 25, 2019 – 6 PM to 8 PM
* Pick up artwork: Monday, March 4, 2019 – Time TBA
