Creation by John Hester

John works primarily in water media; his style is expressive in form and color as in “Creation” and from his “Java” series and “Heart Air Balloon.”

John’s world view was formed out of his extensive travel and residence in Europe, Africa, Arabia, and Asia. He lived and worked four years in Rome, five years in Germany, and over two years in Africa. John observed the art and crafts of indigenous African artists, and learned a great deal from the original paintings of great artists in museums in Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Florence, Venice, and Madrid as well as New York, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco.
